DAY 1: GUATEMALA CITY AIRPORT - ANTIGUA - Arrive into Guatemala City International Airport where our driver will be there to greet you and transfer you directly to your lovely charm hotel in Antigua. Spend an evening enjoying this magical colonial town, considered by some to be the most beautiful in the world. Walk its romantic cobble stone streets and enjoy fine cuisine at one of the many fine gourmet restaurants in the area. Overnight in the selected hotel in Antigua.
DAY 2: ANTIGUA - Today is free to explore the magical colonial village of La Antigua. Today you can visit its monuments, museums, shop at the various Indian markets & stroll through the cobble stone streets. You may also opt for one of our special mountain biking, hiking, volcano, fishing, golf, horseback and cultural tours. Overnight in the selected hotel in Antigua. Breakfast included.
DAY 3: ANTIGUA - CHICHICASTENANGO - LAKE ATITLAN - Today, our private driver will pick you up at 8:00 am and take you on a panoramic two hour drive to visit the mystical city of Chichicastenango (Thursdays and Sundays only, otherwise directly to Lake Atitlán). Located at 2500 meters above sea level, this city is famous for its market where spats of traditionally dressed villagers in a kaleidoscope of colors, come to sell their very colorful textiles, fruits, vegetables and flowers. Also worth a visit is the peaceful yet colorful cemetery. After lunch, depart for magical Lake Atitlán with direct transfer to your hotel at Lake Atitlán. Spend the afternoon visiting the lake side village of Panajachel, enjoy a breathtaking sunset followed by a romantic dinner, or simply relax in your lake side hotel. DAY 4: LAKE ATITLAN - VILLAGES BOAT TOUR - Today your “lanchero” (boat driver) will pick you up from your hotel at 9:00 am and take you by boat to three of the Indigenous villages along the shore of the lake. We recommend visiting Santiago de Atitlan, San Juan La Laguna, and/or San Antonio Palopó. Enjoy the spectacular scenery the lake has to offer and learn more about the villagers, whose traditional costumes still vary from one village to the other, as well as their history. You can book upon request an optional English speaking guide (US$90) who would share many insights on local customs and traditions. Overnight in the selected hotel at Lake Atitlán. DAY 5: LAKE ATITLAN - PETEN - Spend a free morning enjoying one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. In the early afternoon at 12:30 PM your private driver will pick you up and transfer you to the international airport of Guatemala City from where you will take your flight to Flores. On the way we recommend a quick stop for lunch or coffee at the lovely café Katok where you can enjoy typical food. Your arrival the Mundo Maya International Airport in Flores will be around 7:30 pm where a transportation service will meet you and will take you to your hotel. Overnight in the selected hotel in Petén. Breakfast included.
DAY 6: PETEN (TIKAL TOUR) – After a hearty breakfast, your private guide and transport will pick you up at hotel lobby to take you to explore Tikal, one of the largest and most magnificent Mayan archeological cities in existence, which in its heyday (c. 700 AD) was the capital of a vast Mayan empire. Your expert guide will share many insights on this Mayan city and provide a feel for the mysteries of this ancient culture. Have lunch in the midst of Mayan ruins and breathtaking flora and fauna; return in the late afternoon and spend the evening relaxing lake side, or opt for a visit & possibly dinner in the lovely town of Flores, the capital of the Petén region. DAY 7: PETEN - GUATEMALA CITY - Free day to enjoy the many attractions the Petén Region has to offer. You could opt for any of the other sites and attractions of the region based on your specific interest and the expert recommendation of latinvacation.offers. Around 6:00 pm your transfer will pick you up on private air conditioned vehicle to the airport in Flores for your 7:55 pm flight back to Guatemala City. After arriving in Guatemala City your private transfer will be waiting for you to bring you to your hotel. Overnight in the selected hotel of Guatemala City. Breakfast included.
DAY 8: GUATEMALA CITY - AIRPORT - Today a hotel shuttle transportation service will take you to Guatemala City International Airport for your return flight to USA. Breakfast is included.

Convento Santa Catalina Hotel
This charming hotel is located in the heart of Antigua Guatemala, on the city's most prestigious streets directly under the Arch of Santa Catalina. It used to be the second monastery founded by the Augustinian Order in 1613, in honor of St. Catherine of Alexandria, Virgin and Martyr. Its monumental walls keep the atmosphere of colonial times and rooms surround a beautiful main garden with a fountain carved in stone.
